Community Partner Series: The Charities Making Swim for All

We talk a lot about community in swimming.

But it’s not just about the swimmers and the clubs:

It’s about every group that does good work through swimming — and how they can come together to support each other.

That’s why we’re shining a light on the Community Partners we work with, and the incredible work they’re doing behind the scenes.

In this new series, we’ll be showcasing the charities and non-profits who work tirelessly to make swimming more open and inclusive.

We’ll be looking at the values they stand for, the projects they fund — and the impact they’re making on swim communities everywhere.

Here’s what you need to know:

Who do we partner with?

We’ve partnered with plenty of swim charities and non-profits over the years. Groups that raise awareness, improve safety, and teach swimming as an essential skill.

But they all have one thing in common:

They’re focused on wellbeing, and the changes that have a positive impact our lives.

In the weeks ahead, we’ll be diving deep into the work of our Community Partners, including:

  • Open Minds Active CIC — building an inclusive community that promotes wellbeing through nature
  • Tankproof — providing free swim lessons to kids in underserved communities in the US
  • Swimunity — making swimming accessible and bringing communities together
  • Likkle Swimmers — teaching swimming to kids in rural Jamaica

How do we support each other?

We’re working with our Community Partners to support their causes in different ways.

That could mean:

  • Sending swim equipment (like our swim caps) to groups giving free swim lessons
  • Funding swim projects directly through our £100k Swim Proud Fund
  • Spreading awareness of their projects through our social platforms
  • And rallying our own community to support their causes.

What can you do to help?

Some of our Community Partners are small organisations working with local communities. And that means they don’t always get the coverage they deserve.

So if you’re looking for ways to support these incredible groups, there’s one simple thing you can do:

Spread the word.

We’re already promoting these non-profits wherever we can. And with the help of swimmers like you, we can get more eyes on the valuable work they do.

So click the links to learn more, follow their socials — and let’s start some conversations about these amazing swim charities.

And if you know any organisations doing good work for the swim community?

We’d love to hear about them.

Send us a message and tell us what they do — and we’ll see if we can work together on their mission.
